Seriously.
Where has summer gone. Here it was just the end of June and now it's already August 10th!!! Wow, I cannot believe we are nearing the end of summer. It's a little sad if you let yourself think about it for too long. That's why we'll just not think about it for now! Nope, I'm going to will myself not to think about it at all. At least until we get JT's classroom information and then it'll be in our face once again. But that's another story.
So you all might have been wondering where we've been. I obviously haven't blogged in two months. (I told you I wasn't very good at this blogging thing!) Well, we've been quite busy. The end of June brought us to Bismarck to celebrate and participate in my baby brother's wedding. My crazy brother Andy convinced his amazing bride Erin to marry him. So in Petersen style (that's my maiden name), we all (Tom, JT, Ty, me, Kyle (our adobted sibling) and my parents) climbed into my dad's suburban for the 6 hour drive from the twin cities to Bismarck. We spent a week up there celebrating their wedding and getting to know Erin's family. A lot of our family and friends traveled up for the event and we were very excited to have them there. It was a great time and I'm proud to announce that I finally have a sister!!! Unfortuneately Andy and Erin are living in Indiana right now, so we don't get to see them as often as we'd like.
July also saw the invasion of my dad's family (most of them from California) for a little Petersen Reunion. It was a very fun and exhausting time too, but lots of fun to see our family that we don't get to see very often. I was also asked to do family portraits for my uncle Tom and aunt Trish as well as seniors portraits for their youngest son Nick. This January their middle son Andrew will be heading off for the Marines so this was a very special opportunity for them to capture their family before Andrew leaves. I'll post some of their images soon too!!
What else... Well there are always the babies and families that have passed through the studio over the last couple of months. But, we are also headed into August where, a number of seniors will pass through as well. I've also been super busy with Hot Mama.
I hope all who are reading this are still enjoying summer, and are having a great time! Below are two images of Andy and Erin from their engagement session that I did. I've also added a summer portrait of one of the cutest little girls I got to photograph this past month!
